Swimming with Suzie the Swan
Level 4 Advanced
Ages 5 and Up,
Max. of 5 Swimmers per Lesson. The purpose of this course is to teach children and young teens to be safe in, on, and around water and swim well. Aquatic and personal water safety skills are taught in logical progressions through the levels. Children beginning in this lesson should be swimming across the pool independently and working on furthering their stroke development and endurance.
Required Swim Lesson Assessments
Swim tests will be provided to assess a child’s swimming ability and are required prior to registering for lessons. This assessment will assist parents in choosing the correct swim level when registering for swimming lessons. Please register online for a date and time beginning Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.
Swim Test Dates
Dates: Saturday/Sunday, April 8-9; 15-16, May 6-7
Times: 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 1:30pm
Swim Lesson Registration Opens to the Public on May 15th, 2023
- Pricing: $115 for Residents/$130 for Non-Residents
Goals for our Level 4 Intermediate
swim lessons include:
Headfirst entry - compact and stride positions
Feet First surface dives
Swim underwater
Tread water, using 2 different kicks
Survival swimming for 1 minute
Continuous swimming 25 yards+ for all primary strokes
Elementary backstroke 25 yards+
Sidestroke 15 yards+
Push off wall streamlined on front and back, 15 yards
Open turns on the front and back
Flutter and dolphin kicks on board

Make learning fun by marking your child's swimming progress after each lesson! Click on the button below to download & print the certificate and check off the skills that have been mastered. Instructors will sign and give these out to the participants on the last day of class.
