Ages 5 and Up
Max. 5 Swimmers per Lesson. The purpose of this course is to teach children and young teens to be safe in, on, and around water and swim well. Aquatic and personal water safety skills are taught in logical progressions through the levels.
Required Swim Lesson Assessments
Swim tests will be provided to assess a child’s swimming ability and are required prior to registering for lessons. This assessment will assist parents in choosing the correct swim level when registering for swimming lessons. Please register online for a date and time beginning Wednesday, March 15th, 2023.
Swim Test Dates
Dates: Saturday/Sunday, April 8-9; 15-16, May 6-7
Times: 10:00am, 10:30am, 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 1:00pm, 1:30pm
Swim Lesson Registration Opens to the Public on May 15th, 2023

swim lessons include:
Enter and Exit Water Safely
Breath Control - Bubble Blowing, Rhythmic Breathing (3 seconds)
Working towards Independent Front and Back Crawl
Bobbing 5 times
Open eyes under water and retrieve submerged objects
Front/Back Float & Recovery
Back Float 5 seconds
Roll from Front to Back and Back to Front
Treading - below waters surface, arm and hand actions
Alternating and simultaneous leg and arm actions on back and front
Jumping Out and Recovering to the Wall
